<p><b>Zeljko Covic</b>, MSc, <b><i>President & CEO</i></b>. Born 1953. Graduated 
  from the School of Food & Biotechnology, University of Zagreb, Croatia, (1978), 
  earning his MSc in 1991. A member of the PLIVA team since 1980. Appointed Head 
  of Food Production (1985) and Head of Food Marketing & Sales (1988). Member 
  of the Executive Council and Secretary of Economic Affairs in Zagreb's City 
  Assembly (1991-1993). As of 1993, Mr. Covic has been President of the Management 
  Board and CEO of PLIVA.</p>
<p><b>Dubravko Mak</b>, <b><i>Vice President Global Business
Development</i></b>. Born 1958. Graduated 
  from the School of Economics, University of Zagreb, Croatia, (1981). A PLIVA 
  team member since 1983. Employed in the Export Department (1994-1988), advancing 
  to become President of PLIVA USA Inc., New York, (1988-1995) and Vice 
President 
  of PLIVA Management Board in charge of Business Development (1996-1999). 
Appointed Vice President Global Business Development in 2001.</p>
<p><b>Dr. Radan Spaventi</b>, MD, Ph.D., <b><i>Vice President R&D</i></b>.
Born 
  1962. Graduated from The School of Medicine, University of Zagreb, Croatia, 
  (1986), where he earned his Ph.D. in 1993. Post-doctoral fellow at Harvard Medical 
  School, Boston, USA, and visiting scientist at the Imperial Cancer Research 
  Fund, UK. Appointed Head of the Laboratory for Molecular Pathology, Department 
  of Molecular Medicine, "Ruder Boskovic" Institute, Zagreb, (1987). Author of 
  approximately 30 scientific research papers published in international peer-reviewed 
  journals, author/editor of three books. Received award for outstanding contribution 
  to medical science from the Croatian Academy of Science and Arts (1994). Recruited 
  by PLIVA for the position of Research Institute Director (1995).
Appointed Vice President 
  of the Management Board in charge of Research & Development (1999).</p>
<p><b>Zeljko Peric</b>, <i><b>Vice President Finance</b></i>. Born 1958.
Graduated 
  from the School of Foreign Trade, University of Zagreb, Croatia. Attended several 
  workshops abroad at institutions such as Harvard University and Management Centre 
  Europe. Employed abroad working on foreign investments for INGRA (1984-1990). 
  Finance Director of a Malaysian project. Upon returning to Croatia, appointed 
  Manager of the department for implementing projects in the Middle East. Senior 
  Advisor for the International Economic Relations Department at the Ministry 
  of Foreign Affairs (1990-1992). For a short period of time held position of 
  Finance Director in "Hidroelektra". A member of the PLIVA team since 1993. Director 
  of the Consultancy Department (Engineering today) (1993), and employed as Finance 
  Director, as of 1996.</p>
<p><b>Dr. Zelimir Vuksic</b>, <i><b>Vice President
Pharmaceuticals</b></i>. Born 1962. Graduated from the University of
Zagreb, Croatia, Medical School in 1986. In 1988, Dr. Vuksic began his
career as a medical research associate after which he moved to the
position of sales representative at Knoll AG. In 1992, he was appointed
General Manager for the Croatian and Slovenian markets, later advancing to
the position of Manager of the Knoll Representative office for Croatia and
Slovenia (from 1993 through 1996). In 1997, Dr. Vuksic joined PLIVA as
Director of Marketing and Sales in the Pharmaceuticals segment. In 1999,
Dr. Vuksic was appointed the Director of Pharmaceutical operations
covering the areas of strategic marketing, medical affairs, licensing, and
marketing and sales. Appointed to the Management Board as Vice President
Pharmaceuticals in 2001.</p>
