Monil<b><sup>®</sup></b> is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic, active against many immature and mature gastrointestinal and pulmonary nematodes, and mature stages of <i>Fasciola hepatica</i> and <i>Dicrocoelium dendriticum</i>. In addition, it acts on the tapeworms of <i>Moniezia </i>genus. In the sensitive helminths, Monil<b><sup>®</sup></b> inhibits resorption and transport of glucose, concomitantly interfering with polymerisation of microtubules in enterocytes and cuticle of the parasites. It has also an ovicidal effect.
