<p align="center"><b>A New Mandate for the Members of PLIVA's Management Board 
  </b></p>
<p>As the mandates of PLIVA's Management Board members are expiring, the company's 
  Supervisory Board appointed the Management Board members for a new five-year 
  period. The decision was made at the Supervisory Board meeting held on 07 September 
  2000 and will become effective as of 08 December 2000. </p>
<p>In accordance with PLIVA's corporate governance principles, to sustain efficient 
  business operations the members of the Management Board are also chief officers 
  in charge of certain areas of operations. In the new mandate the Management 
  Board will include Mr. Zeljko Covic, M.Sc., President of the Management Board 
  and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Dubravko Mak, Vice President and Chief Operating 
  Officer, Dr. Radan Spaventi, Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer, and 
  Mr. Zeljko Peric, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.</p>
<p> The mandate of Ms. Erika Kaspar, M.Sc., expires as of 08 December 2000, after 
  which she will continue to carry out business operations in the area of Corporate 
  Affairs and Communications.</p>
<p> Commenting the decision, Mr. Zeljko Covic, President of PLIVA's Management 
  Board and CEO, said: "My colleagues and I are honoured that we have been given 
  the opportunity to continue realising our long-term strategy. Our new mandates 
  will be in line with the transformation of PLIVA from a local company into a 
  global pharmaceutical company. My team of associates and I, together with all
